The Fishermen's Travel
5.00pm - Rushed to SAFRA Tampines to renew passport. When we reached there, the woman told us tt she needs to see my IC, which i didnt bring. Pissed of Father. Rushed back home to get IC and rushed back to SAFRA. Reached there, it was closed. The woman went for a break. Father went searching for the woman. Found her. Opened the office, did passport. Godfather at work, was filled with stuff to do. Ended up picking us at 6 plus instead of 5.30pm. Could that be another sign?7.15pm - After rushing to fill petrol and draw and exchange money at parkway, we started to leave. Within seconds of driving off, the front left car tire from the driver's seat punctured. We were at the side of Parkway where Macs was. It started to drizzle a bit, with occasional thunder and lightning. They decided to take out the wheel of the car and replace it with the spare tyre. The screws for the spare tyre were inadequate. They needed 5 but only had 3. Panic! They called AA to come and help out. While waiting, ppl stopped to look. An angm0h couple who said they were fishermen from australia(YAY!) came up and started talking to us. They were very Friendly. There was an angmoh man who even took a photo. He must be thinking tt in singpaore we call people to help us change tyre while in where he is from, they do it by themselves. AA came. Changed the wheel and all and used the screws used for the other wheel instead. It could fit. Before we left off to go and get another spare tyre, we tried to start the car. The batt all of a sudden DIED! Godfather rushed out of the car to chase the AA van. It stopped. Reboosted car power and we left on our journey to the Tyre shop. On our way, gopa asked my father, " What's that sound?" my father replied by laughing... The 1st tyre shop we saw, it was closed. They got a fright thinking of all days it had to be closed on tt very day. At the tyre shop, they said we had to buy a new tyre instead of them repairing. A tire costs $240! Oh well, he needed it. so he bought one. We also needed to buy the screw to take out the nuts. Sounds sick but ya. haha... The shop didnt have so we had to go all arnd to look; Lavender, Mustafa and all... We couldn't find it so we took the chance and left Singapore without it. Smses that was replied by mom:"Fluff on going on such a rainy day"
WAS THE TRIP MEANT TO BE?
11.15pm- We saw a car shop in JB. We drove on the wrong side of the road. Oh well, when we reached there, it was about to close. The man was about to pull the shutter down. Everyone went out while i stayed in the car. Instead of jus buying the screw to open the nut, my godpa went to see a car lock which struck his attention. They tried locking and opening it in the shop and it was alright. So my godpa asked them to try it on the car to see how it works. They locked it. For a while the guy was struggling to open it. He couldn't they key didnt open it. They tried forcing it but it didnt work. The shop people were left with no choice after trying to open it for a long long time, but to saw it open. The used an electric saw and started sawing.
Godpa: Just one more sign and we will turn around and go back home.
They took all the wires, cardboard and saw. They cut the lock open. While they were sawing, i came out of the car. When they finished sawing, i felt something at my stomach there. I touched it and it was my ROSARY! It BROKE all by itself! Another Sign man!
DID THIS MEAN WE ARE GOING HOME?
Everyone seemed to be shocked once i said tt. My Godpa was uneasy. He made a stand. We were going home!
Godpa to shop people: I will pay for it(meaning the lock).
The shop people refused to take the money. Good traders man! So, we left to go back home. We went to Jalan Kayu on the way back for supper. I had Mushroom Cheese Prata and Banana Prata which was served with ice cream! Damn Shioks! I can taste it even though im typing it. ahha... Well, maybe it was really signs not for us to go for the trip. I mean, i didnt feel tt excited going for the trip. was feeling uneasy actually. Oh well, back home. Home Sweet Home!
