What is photography to me?
Interesting topic.
What is photography to me?
Well, judging that I'm more of a film student than a photography student, I can't give the best answer. But I do have a keen interest in photography n modelling.
So, anyway, photography is merely catching stills of something or someone, drawing it's uniqueness and expressions by composing the elements in the picture to invoke emotions into viewers eyes. It is only a tool in which one could express a story or message, and could only be taken once. Hence, every still is unique because one can never take two of the same exact stills on different occasions.
I guess that sums up what I feel about photography and me. I never really thought about it and what I wrote is 100% original. However, i find photography interesting as I get to express both myself, through style, and my objects or models. So, that is like killing two birds with 1 stone. It doesn't matter what camera you use. I only got my DSLR(digital single lens reflex, for those who didn't know) camera a few months back, less than 6, however, I've been taking pictures for ages. I decided from my Canon Powershot s3IS when i wanted to earn a reputation and upgrade myself. It's a hobby, a passion, a game. How we invoke it is entirely up to us. A pictures speaks a thousand words, photography on the other hand, speaks a million, but I'm sure you do not want me to go babbling on too much and going out of point. So, this is hence, the summary of what photography means to me.

Tattoo

No matter what you say about love
I keep coming back for more
Keep my hand in the fire
Sooner or later,
I'll get what I'm asking for
No matter what you say about life
I learn every time I bleed
That truth is a stranger
Soul is in danger,
I gotta let my spirit be free
To admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I have to move on
And leave you behind
[Chorus]
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo
(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have youI'll always have you, I'll always have you)
I'm sick of playing all of these games
It's not about taking sides
When I looked in the mirror, didn't deliver
It hurt enough to think that I could
Stop, admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I gotta be strong
And leave you behind
[Chorus]
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo
(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have youI'll always have you)
[Bridge]If I live every moment
Won't change any moment
Still a part of me and youI will never regret you
Still the memory of you
Marks everything i do
[Chorus x2]
Just like a tattoo
I'll always have you

2(x)ist Undergear Preview by Manhunt Singapore 2009

A 2(x)ist undergear fashion show by Manhunt Singapore at Zirca was another eventful day. With the models struttling down the catwalk to pose with 2(x)ist's new undergear selection, DJ George Leong hit the stage with his mixes of House music, which left the crowd with loud roars and oogling at the masculine models in trunks.
A pair of VIP Passes for the next Superstar event was won by none other than, me. Taking pictures of the models and uploading it on the Superstar group on Facebook left them with no choice but to present me with VIP passes. WAKAKA. So, this means, more Superstar nights for me...

CLEO's Bachelor's Contest

The annual CLEO Bachelor's Contest took place at ZIRCA this year. 50 contestants, 1 winner. The CLEO Finals was nothing more than pure entertainment for many of the young girls in the crowd who came as early as 6pm to fill the everwinding queue of people. The place was filled with models and girls who just wanted to try to be one. Ranging from posh school girls to flamboyant office executives, all were there to see who will win the CLEO's Bachelor's contest. Another exciting night for any Tom, Dick and Harry.
Attending this function, we managed to slip into the VIP rooms where food was being given out to the post and glam of CLEO. We took the chocolatey brownies and the crispy samosas. It was great. Winning the CLEO's bachelor's contest was Vivien Donson, a model from Manequiene Models. He is from Netherlands and is stationed in Singapore for a while. Why would the Singapore's CLEO's bachelor's contest be a Singapore contest if foreigners get to join in???
Who knows, maybe next year, it will be my turn....
